Mengenal dan Menguasai Windows 8

Sekarang kalian sudah bisa mengupgrade Windosws XP atau 7 kalian dengan Windows 8. Namun, sebelum beralih ke OS Windows 8, sebaiknya Anda mengetahui beberapa hal mengenai OS Windows 8.

Microsoft menghadirkan berbagai fitur baru di Windows 8 yang tidak dimiliki oleh Windows sebelumnya.

Windows 8 memang memiliki ratusan fitur baru, seperti waktu boot yang lebih cepat, mode pesawat (semua hal yang berkaitan dengan radio, seperti WiFi dan 3G akan dimatikan saat menggunakan mode ini), fungsi copy/move/paste yang diklaim lebih baik, program anti-virus bawaan (Windows Defender dengan semua fitur Microsoft Security Essentials), menggunakan gambar sebagai password, dan masih banyak lagi.

Namun, beberapa fungsi dan fitur dari Windows 7 dihilangkan di Windows 8 seperti fungsi "mode Windows XP" dan fitur Windows DVD Maker.

Untuk menggunakan sistem operasi Windows 8, paling tidak sebuah komputer atau notebook harus memiliki prosesor dengan kecepatan 1GHz.

Untuk versi 32-bit, RAM minimal yang harus disediakan adalah 1GB. Sedangkan untuk versi 64-bit, kapasitas RAM yang dibutuhkan lebih besar, yakni 2GB.

Kalian harus menyiapkan ruang kosong sebesar 16GB untuk versi 32-bit. Sedangkan untuk versi 64-bit, kapasitas penyimpanan yang dibutuhkan adalah 20GB.

Komputer Anda juga harus memiliki card grafis dengan fitur minimal DirectX9 atau versi di atasnya.

To run Metro style Apps, you need a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or greater
